THE PROJECT

The (Dis)connected Realities project, reference 2023-3-PT02-KA210-YOU-000179100, is an initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aimed at improving digital education and youth well-being in the use of social media. Through the collaboration between ETPM (Portugal), Asociación Albores (Spain), and Asociación Miras (Spain), the project will develop strategies, tools, and materials to support youth workers in preventing digital risks and promoting a responsible and conscious use of social media among young people.

OBJECTIVES
  1. Investigate the current state of social media use and its effects on young people by collecting and analyzing data from 15 European organizations and institutions.
  2. Develop digital tools and resources for youth workers to promote a conscious and responsible use of social media among young people.
  3. Encourage networking and provide intervention strategies for youth workers, focusing on identifying risk indicators associated with social media use.
  4. Create training and methodological materials, such as a practical guide and webinars, to equip professionals with effective prevention and digital education tools.
  5. Raise awareness of the impact of social media on mental health and youth emotional well-being, fostering the development of critical and safe digital skills.

Asociación Albores – Spain
Asociación Albores is a non-profit organization founded in 2006, specializing in the intervention of young people in vulnerable situations. Its multidisciplinary team of over 100 professionals provides innovative socio-educational intervention strategies and actively participates in training and awareness initiatives. Albores manages various projects across multiple Spanish regions, and its work has been recognized at the national level, positioning it as a leading organization in mental health and behavioral disorder treatment in Spain.

Asociación Miras – Spain
Asociación Miras is a non-profit organization based in Murcia. Its work focuses on social inclusion and non-formal education, providing opportunities for the personal and professional development of young people. Miras actively participates in European projects such as Erasmus+ Youth, offering training and consultancy in digital skills, social media, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, it collaborates with companies and public institutions to strengthen social and professional networks, promoting innovative methodologies and the use of new technologies in youth education.
